Welcome!
This site publishes AI-generated meeting transcript summaries along side links to official materials for South Portland School Department (SPSD) Board of Education (BoE) meetings.
AI-generated output can contain errors, please always refer to official board resources as the source of truth.
Meeting summaries are typically available within 1-2 days after the video recording transcripts are made available and processed.
Site Structure
The site has two index pages which link to the dedicated content pages:
- Meetings: All identified meetings (beginning with the 2023-24 school year). Dedicated meeting pages includes AI-generated transcript summaries and highlights, a votes table, timestamped transcript segments, and links to official materials.
- Topics: Recurring and/or substantive topics are identified and get dedicated pages with summaries of both current status and history, as well as links to relevant meeting pages. These pages are updated as new relevant content is identified.
Data Sources
- Official board materials (agendas, packets, minutes, etc) are sourced from the district's Google Drive folder and the SPSD Board Page. Each document's meeting date is read from the document's own content first, then its filename, then the SPSD site as a last resort.
- Video recordings are published by SPC TV on Vimeo and transcripts are posted to the district's Google Drive folder linked above.
